A Day @ the Farm

Just a look into one of our days @ our friends farm. This is where Parker's pig lives until he takes him

to fair in August. It is just five minutes from our house. It is beautiful here. Plenty of room for
the little pigs to run around. They are not so little anymore. When he first came to the farm he was weighing in at 45 lbs and now he is weighing in at 140 lbs. He is averaging about 2-3lbs per day. He hopes to have him to 240 lbs. by fair.
Parker, along with his three friends that do pigs, walk their pigs, clean their pens, water and feed them each day. I never thought that when we moved to Montana we would become "Pig Farmers".

Random Tag

Thanks Katie for the tag.

1. SELF PORTRAIT.....

Lovely picture...I look like I am sporting a stylin' grapevine hat. No, it is just the wreath on the wall. Montana styles are different, but I don't think a grapevine wreath hat is in fashion anywhere.

2. MY CLOSET...
I forgot to take a picture of my closet but I think this one will do. Hannah wanted to try on my wedding dress that was in my closet. This is one thing that is stored in my closet. It has turned a lovely shade of light yellow. You just can't help love the giant bow in front and the mile high puffed sleeves. Napoleon says it best, "like your sleeves".

3. MY LAUNDRY ROOM...
I love doing laundry now with my new energy efficient washer and dryer. For entertainment we just watch our laundry go round and round.

4. MY FAVORITE ROOM...
My mudroom where everything has a place and everything is in it's place....yah right! wishful thinking.

5. KITCHEN SINK...
It usually always looks like this now that everyone loves to cook. Let me rephrase that, now that everyone loves to make cookies. Picture just after Hannah made cookies.
6. MY FRIDGE.... We try to stock the crisper with yummy fruits and veggies. Right now we have apples, green grapes, cantaloupe, nectarines, grapefruit (you caught us on a good day). We love bottled water. We have 4 gallons of milk left from the 6 we usually buy (four 2% Bruce wishes it was whole milk and 2 gallons of skim. When we start to get low I combine the skim and 2% making 1% or as Bruce would say yuck. Notice the colorful bowls next to the milk that would be the kids cookie dough. Yum-yum.

7. MY FAVORITE SHOES...
My gross dirty flip-flops which the girls are always wearing (they are really their flip flops) - I need to invest in a good pair of shoes maybe like Katie's (thanks for the info)

8. WHAT MY KIDS ARE DOING RIGHT NOW...
Parker and Bruce reading Jim's blog, they could not stop laughing.

The girls watching a movie. Anytime they can watch a movie they will.

So here's the rules. NO cleaning before taking the pictures. Be prepared for the most invasive tag ever. I dare you to do it.
