WOW! What a Week....end

Thursday: The girls soccer game. We tried out the fun blog hair today on Bailey, Hannah, and Sidney. They all picked out their own hair do. It was freezing a high of 20 degrees and it tried to snow.
Friday: Track Meet at Senior High. Parker participated in the 800 medely relay - he was the 2nd runner 100 meters. he was just too fast for me to take a photo ( I assure you that he was not too disappointed). Bailey ran the 400, 200 and the 400 relay. Hannah ran in the 800 meter run, 800 medely relay and the 200 and Sidney 800 meter, 800 medley relay and the 200. They had a blast and a sun burn to show for it.

Friday & Sat. The long awaited Hearts & Hands 18 hours of service.

Motherhood

5 minutes for mom is running a contest....heard if from a friend (thanks Katie). It's a mother's day photo contest. Love this photo of Bruce's Mom, The Farmer's Wife. Wish me luck, OK Katie I wish you luck too.

Thankful Thursday

I woke up this morning and realized I have so much to be thankful for.
1. Being able to get out of bed(not that I wanted to this morning) but that I at least can. - I would have much rather stayed in bed and pulled the covers over my head. After 2 days of 70-80 degree weather we are back to a high of 43 and rain...since the weather is so cold I am especially thankful for #2
2. Blogging - being able to connect with friends and family peering into their inner thoughts and daily events.
3. That in 3 days it will be May 4 -THIS will be over.
4. Bruce -6,400+ days of marriage whew, in the worlds terms that impressive.
5. Parker - that he is growing up into a young man and willing to work(most times)
6. Bailey - Her ability to enjoy the simple things in life
7. Hannah - That she is just like her dad, loves being in the great outdoors.
8. Sidney - Her love for animals - and that she can love them at our neighbors and we don't have to necessarily have them at our place.

Happy Birthday Dad

As of 2:30 this morning Bruce is officially 41 years old. He has seen and done a lot in his 4decades on this earth. He grew up in Oregon on a farm and loved the dirt. It was very seldom that his mom could ever get him to bathe.

He still enjoys the simple life and after 41 years he has come to enjoy showers.

We hope you have a FABULOUS birthday, We love you. Love the FAM

What's in a Name?

We would like to introduce you to Parker's pig. He is a Poland China, Yorkshire Cross for all of you non-pig enthusiasts that is his breed. Parker and Bruce drove to Cali, a city in Wyoming, not Cali the State and picked up this little pig, along with nine of it's siblings and two from another litter. They dropped off six of the little piggies to other fellow swine enthusiasts and brought the other five little piggies to their new home.
This will be their new home for the next four months. At their new home they will live the good life of daily walks, grand buffet meals and mud baths in the local stream. The only thing we need now is a NAME for him. We welcome your suggestions. If we like your suggestion you could win an all expense paid trip (road trip that is, we'll pay for your windshield washer fluid) to Montana to have your picture taken with this world famous PIG! To steal a line from Charlotte's Web...He's SOME PIG.
